Child Protection Policy

 

Children are precious to us. Each of the parishes of the Glen Group has adopted a Child Protection Policy. Please refer to the Page Entitled “Child Protection Policy”.

 

 

St Mary’s Sunday School

 

This is a popular activity for children in the village.  It is conducted on Sunday twice a month at 10.30 a.m. and meets in St Mary’s Church Hall in Rose Lane, Pinchbeck or in the Church.

Dates for Sunday School: usually the first and third Sundays of the month.  See the weekly pew sheet for confirmation of details.

 

Tots Praise

 

A service for babies and toddlers held in the school pavilion or in the Church Hall in the afternoons at 2.15 p.m. as advertised in the pew sheet.  This is an opportunity for children and their parents or carers to have a simple time of worship together followed by refreshments.

 

St Mary’s Junior Choir

 

Children in Year 4 or over are welcome to join St Mary’s Junior Choir.  Formed in 2007 under the direction of Organist and Choirmaster, Chris Arnold, the junior choir sings at services of All Age Worship (3rd Sundays) and also join St Mary’s Choir for other special occasions.

Children’s Areas in Church

 

Each of the three churches has a well-equipped Children’s Area.  Parents with young children are encouraged to use these areas during Sunday Services and other events in Church.  Books, toys, games, paper and pens/pencils for drawing help keep children occupied during services and make it easier for parents to concentrate on the service. 

 

Chuckle Club

 

This is a mothers and toddlers’ group that meets at West Pinchbeck Village Hall under the auspices of St Bartholomew’s Church, West Pinchbeck.  It meets from 10.00 a.m. till 12.00 midday on Thursdays.  Mothers often get together informally as well for coffee and occasionally an evening meal.
